Anyone know anything about fiber/resin content calcs for thermoplastics? I got this fabric and LDPE film I need to sort out for a 60f/40r content with. MY problem is, I don’t know the thickness I would need for the LDPE! Should I just weigh out what thickness I know, and pray i can easily add a layer or 2 if I need it?
i would weigh it out. I work with a lot of LD and HDPE (however, not in composites). For all of our R&D work we measure by mass, we combine it with TiO2 which is a white, very opaque pigment.
I found out…it’s by volume, not weight!
