Technoora ...?

Has anyone ever heard of “Technoora” as someone mention it on myspace.com “I love Carbon Fiber” forum about some high $ Japanese drift team is making doors and the like from it and swears (ya, right) that it is better than CF!

I tried Googling it and nothing comes up.

I’m betting it is a made up name from some company and maybe a CF / Kevlar Hybrid material?

Search for “Technora” as it looks like that drift article mis-spelled it. Seems fairly widespread, but the mechanical properties are maybe not as good as carbon fiber for most composite uses?

looks to me to be another brand of “kevlar”

I have some pics of it in person at the shop, pretty interesting stuff. I saw it for the first time in 2002 at SEMA

looks hella ugly from that pic…all I use carbon for is cosmetic…if they made nice looking fiberglass Id use that.

A coatline rep stopped by today and talked about this stuff.
basically it is an armid that is black. 20 bucks a yard, so much less than carbon and 180 grams vs. 200 for the carbon. and stronger. sayis it is just getting ready to come out. he is sending me some samples.
