I cannot find a technical data sheet for Thornel T250. I am waiting for a call back from Cytec, but in the meantime, does anyone have a link to a spec. sheet?

However, one of my idiosyncracies is the inability to let corporations get away with ignoring my queries. And while it took many more calls while navigating through a labrynthian subterrain of corporate divisions that appeared to have no clue as to what their company actually manufactures, I finally did find an answer. There is no spec. sheet for T250 because it is an “off grade”, meaning that it is T300 (for which there is a readily available spec. sheet) that has been rejected for one reason or another. Apparently, it can be cosmetic, or related to material properties.
T250? Sounds to me like they ran a lot of fiber with low tensile strength, hence the “reduction” from T300 to T250. Carbon fiber producers can make off-spec (low strength, low ILSS, high/low yield, etc.) from time to time, but this is the first I’ve heard of someone downgrading the fiber name. They might have done it to distinguish it from “qualified” T300 (fiber run on a customer qualified line, but before qualification was granted).
