Taking out tooling artifacts.

I’m not talking about milling swirls, or sanding marks. I apparently used a mirrored steel tool, on a part where it was maybe taped off from another part. So, my plate has subtle shine differences that look like tape sized lines. I tried acetone, and I’ve done a quick metal polish buff, and they are still there. Anyone else have this issue? Glad to have a perfect plate, shine and all…but damnit there are surface issues.

I rather not spray, since it’s a mirror finish, and sanding will just take too much time.

I’ve used a 3000 grit pad (the soft foam round ones) on stainless before and it came out like a mirror.

I should have took more time, or tried the 1000-3000grit we have (or 12um slurry), but I was tired. I ended up 600 sanding it, and re-spraying with spar-urethane. Ended up actually looking amazing!

Now to spray the edges black because that ONE damn tow got lost on the tool side, and doesn’t look right.
