I’ve just acquired a sheet of stainless (1200x2400x3mm) to use as a work surface for my composites. Any reason why I shouldn’t use stainless? I figure it’ll be easy to clean dried resin off of should any end up there.
None that I can think of except it will blunt your knife if you cut on it and will be cold. If you wipe on a coat of semiperm release it will make cleaning easier. I even mould released my wedding ring in case.
That’s a cunning plan. It weighed a bit more than I had expected, maybe around 60kg.
haahaa, that it will. Make sure before you use it as a tool, measure the flatness of it. use shims to make sure it’s flat, or your part won’t be flat!
