Table Top Epoxy for Lamination

Has anyone ever experimented with table top epoxy systems for lamination?

Something like the following:
http://www.ecopoxy.com/uv-poxy/
http://www.uscomposites.com/kk121.html

These resins offer UV stability which (that I am aware of) is quite hard to come by in composite epoxy resin systems (please provide info if you have some UV resistant epoxies out there!)

Not extremely concerned with strength so much, as it will be used for an aesthetic piece.

One concern I have would be the shrinkage in these systems, resulting in print through.

Please share any experiences! Thanks

Be aware that these epoxies still aren’t ‘non-yellowing’. For the most part, UV stabilisation means that the resin won’t crack or delaminate from UV exposure, but they will still yellow over time. In some cases, the stabilisers will do enough to slow the yellowing process, but I have yet to come across any manufacturers that are happy to stand behind their product and guarantee it will never yellow.

There are actually many laminating epoxies out there with UV stabilisers and in fact you can even buy the stabilisation additive to add to any epoxy that you like. So don’t pay TOO much attention to the marketing that you see in the descriptions.
