Hello there. I am new on this forum.
I am a chemistry student and I want to produce carbon fibers and I know the chemical and physical ways to do it but it’s a bit an expensive way and also on carbonization and graphitization parts need instruments which can reach about 3000oC heat.
So my major question is if there’s a way to produce the carbon fibers can you help me? I just need a simple and cheap way to make the precursors.

Simple and cheap is to source some samples. Producing them yourself is very hard, when you are on a budget.
I do not believe you will have any luck. Making a precuror requires a gel/plastic spinnerette system to make the fibers. After that, you are required to process it at the required temps and atmosphere’s that are standard. After all, you are carbonizing something. It requires heat.
Well that’s right, I can’t do these products with my own budget. I met a research assistant in my university and maybe somehow we can have a salary from the government so if that happens, the experiments would be a lot easier.
