still seeing and feeling weave...?

i am doing my first 2nd and third pieces and i am just finishing my very first piece

ITS AN OVERLAY… how i went about it was lay resin… wait… lay cloth… wait… apply first coat in saturation then used a bondo spreader to remove excess… then waited till it was almost dry if not almost completly then applied another then wiped off a excess …

the problem is that i can still fel the texture even after a lite sanding and then 4-5 coats of auto clear with an actually gun … other than this it came out awesome for my first piece

help or tips on avoiding texture feel thanks

Auto clear is really really thin, maybe you need to use a clear gelcoat instead?

you need like 6 coats of resin,not 2!!

EXACTLY!

OVERLAYS ARE LABOR INTENSIVE ENOUGH THAT I DONT DO THEM OFTEN IF EVER!
