Stacking Honeycomb

If for the majority of my part I want 1/4" honeycomb but on the edges I would like to use 1/2" is it OK to use 2 plies of 1/4" with a layer of CF in bewteen? I was thinking C/C/H/C/H/C/C. If that is OK it would save me having to buy 2 types of honeycomb. Thanks for the help.

Your best option is to avoid the 1/2" areas. To bond the two pieces of honeycomb, it would be best to use a film adhesive.

Maybe double up on the carbon between core plies?

Really, though, why not get 1/2" material and profile it accordingly?
