Stabilized cf help

Hi…a product from composites envision if called stabilized Carbon fiber. They claim that fabric will not unravel when cutting. Was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this fabric. I Need to cut a complex shape from the fabric and this would be great, but I also need it to comfort to highly convoluted mold. Thanks

Norm

I don’t know that fabric, but it’s robably a epoxy coating applied on the fabric. If it handles the same as the other fabrics with coating it isn’t good for complex curved shapes.

It won’t conform as well as loose fabric, so you might struggle a little bit. You can get a bit more drapability if you heat the fabric up with a heat gun while you are placing it in the mould.

They claim it has some fiberglasss in it to help it stay together. I was indeed concerned with drapability in complex molds. Thanks
