Spraying duratec with a preval sprayer?

Has anyone had good results spraying duratec primer with a preval sprayer? My plugs are small, and for several reasons, I don’t have an air compressor.

My first attempt had a lot of orange peel. I sprayed it thinned 10% with lacquer thinner and the ambient temp was about 65 degrees. Is it a waste of time trying to get good results with the little aerosol cans?

Sometime you can improve the preval spray by putting the power can in a cup of very hot water for a few minutes

we usually put the sprayers in a small hot box, 100 watt light bulb. if you spray long enough the sprayer begins to feel cold, rotate them, in-out-of hot box.

The hot box helped a lot. This is still clearly not even close to the correct spray equipment but I layed it on thick twice so I had plenty to sand on.
