sportbike fairing repairs

My fairings were made with vinyl ester resin and cloth. I have 1/4 inch holes that were drilled that need to be filled. One piece has been punctured and has alot of cracks in it. My question is what do I need to do for surface prep and does it vary between different types of resin? I imagine the drilled holes will be treated differently. These pieces are really thin.
-Will I run into bonding issues.
-What about primer. Will the stuff used for most automobiles work. -What other resin will work for holes and repairs?
-I have only found the poly resin locally. Is their any other resin that will bond well.

epoxy would be the best “bonding” resin but you can use the poly resin with success. Sand with a minimum of 80 grit to give a good “tooth” for the resin to grip.
Don’t use too much catalyst to avoid excess shrinkage.
Any auto primer will be fine, use some bondo putty after placing a couple layers of fabric on the back side of the repair, sand it flat and smooth, prime, paint.
