Split mould - glueing , bonding

Hey guys , I have such issue : got a mould of one piece of fender and i need to attach some fairings to it to the peel ply side.

I’m not sure how to do it properly, below there is a simple image of situation.

On 1st photo ( red-mould , black-part)
There is a part infused with some flanges not trimmed yet

2nd photo - part is trimmed and second mould is attached to a flange of first mould

3rd photo - this is how it should look like after dmoulding.
The blue area is the problematic one, because I dont have solution on how to laminate this fairing without spilling the resin between mould and piece.

What is the best and right way for such situations, to have both piece good aligned , also how to make this second mould? I believe its something similar to bonding door halves ?!

I’d make a 2 part mold and infuse all at one time.

Moulds are ready and they are more complicated as this pictures shows , also the geometry doesn’t let using on mould

if your mold is made, you might have an issue… you’ll probably have to modify it or remake it.

I would say use a return piece so you can have a joggle that would fit with the second half of your mold. Then you can bond the two together along that line. I’ve seen people just do a straight edge flush with the mold and then bond it together but, it seems like that would have a small bond line and make a weaker part.

In reality the best would be to do it one piece. that way the fabric can be full and uncut. The line from the mold joint will be minimal if you make your molds clean.
