Mouse pads

killer looking goodies ya got there. do you make anything for the crx yet? or know of anyone to point me to? doors, hood, hatch, bumpers, fenders?

Wow, love the red ones. Infusion on all the parts? wonder what clear coat you use… do you end up with any pin holes on your parts and just add clear on top of that?

yeah we infused everything and we us a Marine gel coat from composites one

What are the vortex generators for ? Roof mounted?
The larger “lump” in the middle is an arial mount?
Are they cosmetic, or if not, how did you design them?

Cheers buddy

PS Awesome looking gear you’ve made there! Must be good to see your hard work turn out so well.

The vortexs mount on the roof right before the windshield. They are to break up the air. They are for the evo 8 an 9. The larger lump is for the antenna. These were just replicated off the stock ABS one

cool stuff, good work.

What do you use to trim your parts that are made with Hybrid fabrics? I just popped my first set of parts made out of carbon/ blue kevlar and the kevlar is just wadding up like it’s dry fabric when I trim with my dremel.

danny, same here. i wonder how they cut it

we just use a carbide blade I get at lowes for like $5.

how did you lay the carbon fiber on the voltex generator mold? it looks very complicated for the carbon to attach on the mold. BTW those look nice… did you painted with clear coat or just the gel coat that make it so shinny?

these all use gel coat. When we did the vortex we laid one layer of carbnon for the flat piece, cut out the hole for the fin, then put a piece of carbon in fin. So every fin is another piece of carbon. Then we use an already made one and put that over our laminate and will a hammer  we pressed everything in the mold with the already made one over the top. hope that makes sense

nice work!! whats the foam core u use on the roof panels?

Looks awesome! well done. Do you have any very close up shots of the red hybrid stuff? does it actually look red or does it look more purpley/magenta as in the pics?

It is more of a dark red than anything

Do you prefer infusing or vacum bagging for the small pieces?

thanks for the pic dual

I infuse everything no matter the size
