My first part’s I did not use clear coat on 
getting better at the molds.
Duratec mixed with 30% clear gelcoat and infused with VER.

Are you using Duratec clear in the mold mixed with 30% clear gelcoat? Why the mixture?
Yes,
I found mixing the gel coat in with the Duratec clear helps make a bit thicker gelcoat layer and it will stay a bit tacky longer for the layup. I can’t always do the layup when I need to. The thicker gelcoat layer (the mixture) also helped with alligatoring and print through.
30/70 clear gelcoat/Duratec sprays to a nice and smooth finish in the mold so the weave is not distorted from orange peel ect.

I’m guessing the Duratec clear also adds to the shine of the clear gel coat.
I’d highly recommend a 50/50 mix of clear gelcoat and Duratec high gloss additive.

These look absolutely fantastic, could we see some pictures of the molds please.
I’d also be very interested in what you use in regard to mold release and how you made/attached the mountings on the reverse.

Q’s for ya though, how many layers of fabric is that? Have you run into any problems with your VER not curing properly from havng too few layers?
They are not strait out of the mold(I wish ), I had to polish them.
Parts are 3 layers of 5.7 oz.
The VER is great, stays rubbery to remove the peel ply and flow media easy, then I bake it for 2 hours @120-130 deg F. and its cured.
I will get a pic of the mounts tonight. Basicly just glued in.
How many hours did you wait to demold the parts after they were laid up or infused? What’s the pot life on VER? say 1.2% mekp.
