Where in California are you located? I’ve never worked with reusable vacuum bags and it’d be nice to see it in action
In Anaheim California 57 Fwy and 91
OP, I am interested in this stuff, based on your e-mail I assume you sell it, does this require a special dispensing gun? I had seen some video’s on YouTube which show the application but each time they were using a sort of “gun” to apply it to the mould surface.
Can you PM me some info…
At present we do some closed mould applications but they are RTM in the traditional sense, this is reserved for the high volume parts and lower volume we just bag, I would like to be able to move away from bagging with a re-useable silicone bag.
I can send my contact detail via PM if needed as well. We are located in Canada
These are High temperature cured silicone sheets
We are looking into building a press frame using silicone as a bagging film. How do you adhere/seal the film to the frame? We are intending to use aluminum tubing for the frame. I can also provide any contact info you might need.
We use silicone bags and seals and have found that the best way to adhere them to something is with an acetal cure silicone in a tube (often sold for use with glass). Neutral cure does not work as well as it doesn’t “bite” into the silicone.
Another way to bond cured silicone to metal is using uncure siliconed but you need some kind of primer .
There are differents companies where you can by uncure siliconed in strips .
