What would you recommend for a scale?
Max weight?
1 gram or .1 gram accuracy?
Any specific make/model?
I will be making relatively small parts, no more than 3’by 3’
Thanks,
Chris

The more the capacity of the digital scale, the more the + - differences.
Try a triple beam for large amounts with the added weights…
I’m post more tomorrow…
We have in the classroom many scales that I buy from headshops, pawn (if they say they want $90 for an item, they loaned $30, so offer them $40 / $45 and you might get it…;)) and other type shops:
Triple beams
150 g digital (+ / - .1 of a gram)
5000g digital (+ / - 2 to 3 grams at any weight)
And I’m planning to get a few more inbetween max weights too!
Here’s a little trick to check to see if a scale is acuat: weight a $ bill…it is 1 gram on the dot!
What accuracy and max weight should I look for in a scale for the average hobby type work?
Thanks,
Chris
It would depend on the amount of resin you need for that part. If it is a small part, small scale. If it is a hood or large part, a larger scale. But a triple beam will do all of it, but you have to use some math instead of pushing a button to “tare” the container.
I know what your next question is…
