3 protos…one with copper, one with aluminum, and one with nothing.
It IS conductive at least.
uuuuuhhhhhhhh…what are they?
2’ satellite dishes that the guy took my comment of “…2’ dish…man, someone’s really hungry!” the way I wanted him too…
Looking Great!
Any feedback on if lighten bolts would hit a CF dish? DirecTV compatable?
JM
PS: Your shop table looks just like the ones at Cerritos Composites classroom!
I’m not sure about any issues with lightning, but after all, there is metal in there, vs. a full aluminum dish. I think they are mainly concerned on which one works the best at the higher microwave freq’s. If you have a good feedhorn, any dish would work with DSS! I want to take a test petal I unknownly messed up, and make a new DSS system (6 petals go around a center 2ft hub)…that would be a fun project!!
Yeah, the tabletop is the best thing in the world. As long as you have blades to waste, glass is the best. No worries of cutting into it, or having anything stick to it.
I know my company sells DSS band (14ghz) feeds, I might see what prices I can get, and play with some of my own pre-preg and make my own dish.
Well, once I move to a non-north facing apartment!
haa!!
Salad bowls for microwaves!
They are parabolic reflectors. Next step is drill them, paint them, and feed them!
OH, the puns…
