I am planning to make a bracket for a front splitter on a car (1st pic) it will be a two piece that will be bolted together (height adjustable) 2nd and 3rd pic.
does rounded (4th pic) angle increase strength over sharp angle (5th pic)?
since this bracket only experiences downward force ( and i have been itching to experiment and use unidirectional carbon) I was planning to use 1/8" divinycell as a core with uni carbon. i will test out various lay ups but what is a good starting point ? 2 layers of 9oz uni on each side?

For the same thickness and lay-up of material etc, I would always go with the curved option where possible for the purporses of reducting stress concentrations and probable failure points
