Has anyone attempted to rotomold a silicone bladder? I just received some smooth on dragon skin along with their silicone thinner and am starting on a simple rotomolding machine.
As a follow up to my own post- this seems totally possible. I did a hand “rotomold” but turning my part around while the fast setting smooth on cured. I got reasonable coverage and a lower viscosity silicone should create a nice bladder part.
how is the tear strength?
how well will the silicone hold down with sealant tape?
The dragon skin material is very strong even with all the air bubbles that will be removed with degassing. The wall thickness is about 2mm and it would be harder to do thinner walls with this stuff since is is so viscous. I have their thinnest product coming in the mail to test but the pot life is much longer and hand turning it isn’t really an option.
Any word on how out turned out or what method you went with? Thanks
