Reusable bagging material for infusion

I’m trying to see if there are any materials we can use to create a reusable bag for resin infusion.

I’ve seen smooth-ons sprayable silicone but unfortunately it needs to be used with a smooth-on spray gun.

If it exists, I’m hoping to find a material I can spray through a dump gun.

We infuse with VE resin so it would have to be resistant to such chemicals.

Any ideas?

Believe me, although there are several companies exploring the Silicone route (Smooth-On, Magnum Venus, Harper Technologies) there are so many things that can go wrong, that a bag soon becomes more economical.

-claimed lifespan with polyester is some 40-50 parts
-if something goes wrong, the silicone is destroyed
-edge design is such that leakage cannot be totally prevented

In the cost / parts graph, at about 50-60 parts there is a transition from bag to VARTM. Silicone is always on the wrong side of the line.

I believe we have a similar thread going on over here.

Sorry for starting another thread about it then haha.

I’ll just stick to plastic bags then :P.
