Resins and skin contact

Hey guys. Have a random question. I know they make fda approved table top epoxies and such and was wondering if they are safe for skin contact? For example if I want to make a ring out of carbon and clear coat it would it irritate my skin at all?

I figure all resins are technically thermoset plastics so nothing will be bad once cured.

I’m wondering specifically if I can use duratec shield topcoat for skin contact since I have it now.

Yep as you said, all thermoset resins will be inert after curing. I’d hesitate to use any polyester or vinylester product for food contact surfaces, but skin contact should be totally fine provided you’re under the resins Tg.
