Resin infusion with multiple moulds at the same time

Hi guys, me again.

Origionally I was going to infuse multiple parts in 1 mould however after laying the parts out on the floor in the same position as i was going to mould them and trying to cover them with fibreglass, by the time iv covered the first part the fabric is all twisted and out of line for the 2nd part.

So my question is, is it possible to infuse 2 parts using one feed pot, one vac pump, and a Y piece connector to connect both moulds to the vac pump, a set up similar to the picture attached?

Would this setup create an problems or is it perfectly acceptable?

Thanks

Yes it is possible, I always infuse more than one part, my record were 9 parts. In the video you can see one of our custumers infusing several parts at the same time.

Definetly multiple at once.

No problem in doing that. Just keep in mind that when you are infusing the first part, and the second is bagged and ready to get under vacuum, make sure you do not 100% open the vacuum line to the second part, as you will temporarily loose the vacuum on the first part. just open it slowly, and things should be all right.

Thanks for the advice. I wasn’t too sure if it would cause any problems but youve put my mind to rest!
