Is this as simple as it looks? No flow media, no peel ply. I am having a hard time understanding how they are getting resin to flow between a mold and a pressurized bladder.

They are using pressure to move the epoxy. High pressure vacuum infusion. The mold, bladders and pressure pump are key to this infusion.

Well, the resin just flows very slowly, i guess.
Did something similar with a flower pot.

I would say the resin is infused at a low bladder pressure( or no bladder pressure as the vacuum will expand the bladder) , once infused bladder is fully pressurised expelling any excess resin

The epoxy isn’t injected , just normal vacuum pulling it thru, or it wouldn’t be sucked out a cup

I’m surprised that the 6061 aluminum is bonded to the carbon with just adhesinve. With so much boost pressure, heat, and temp changes I’m wondering if that thing would ever pop.

Not a chance. I’ve watched failure tests on carbon to aluminium bonded with Araldite 2015, in all cases the laminate failed before the adhesive. Don’t underestimate how strong quality adhesives are.

This is what I was thinking also but they may have developed some new technology. It would be interesting to know the actual procedure.
