Resin infusion- switching from orthothalic (PE) resin to Epoxy, tips?

So i’ve been using orhthotalic resin and im now switching to US composites epoxy, I just cant handle the smell of the PE resin anymore.

my main concerns is the gel/cure time. with the PE resin my parts will cure in an hour or so. Now switching to epoxy it sets in 3-4 hours and cures 8-10

Am i just being paranoid while its the same exact process and except longer cure time? or will there be some variation?

thanks in advance!

What you will notice is that epoxy stays liquid for a much longer time. This allows you to clamp off slightly earlier. The only way to speed up cure is to add heat. (build yourself an oven, even a very simple one is better than nothing. A closet with a small radiator in it is even suitable)

There are some very quick epoxies out there, kwik kick by resin research is one. It’s pretty low in viscosity so you could infuse it.
