What is a good resin for wet layup and has a clear finish. Also a resin that can with stand heat. thanks
Be more specific. This could include thousands of resins.
If you are in LA, just go to Aircraft Spruce in Corona and buy a gallon kit of Aeropoxy. Its cheap, pretty good, has good heat resistance when cured at temp, and will serve you well.

Yes, is this for an exhuast pipe use, engine cover part or what???
This is for an engine cover. I’'m using the silver cf and i need a type of resin which is heat resistance and will have a clear finish thanks.
You will need to use a VER or an Epoxy resin then as they are higher heat resistant.
Which brand do you recommmend is ver and epoxy good with wet layup? and what type of advehsive should i use to hold the fabric down? i have read that the epoxy eats the 3m 77 adhesiave is there one you recommend for this type of project? thanks

Thank you for the responds… have you tried this resin? and is it any good with layup projects?
Yes. What is a layup project ? Something structural, cosmetic, etc?
Aeropoxy is a laminating resin. It is slightly amberish in color, but I have had very good results using it. Be sure your work area is 70F or above.

I think he means wet lay up process instead of VIP or vacuum bagged.
For Epoxy resins, try:

among others…
