count me in! i live by and race the miller motor sport park that is the biggest one in america, but that one in texas looks alot bigger!

Time Attack in a 2000 civic Si and a 2004 S2000. I would like to get into formula 4 one day but i would like to learn some composites better. I sure hope that formula 1 comes to Ut becasue that would be crazy. This week we are racing and we will get the full track which is HUGE at 4.5 miles long so hopefully all goes well cuz its easy to reach speeds at close to 140+

I’ll be showing up for Circuit of America’s when they open the track next year! I hope it spurs the creation of an F1 team based here in the states.

Thats not this years car it has no drs system and other difrences. Do you watch f1??

Not religously… Why? Also why would they want to beat up a brand new car when 98% wont even notice the difference.

That’s the RB5 if I remember correctly. They’ve beat that car up as far as F1 standards go. Tom Cruise has driven it, they drove it over the future track of Circuit of Americas as you see above, over ice and snow and on a beach.

With literally hundreds of millions invested in the RB6 They would NEVER take the current cars out to events like this ever in a million years.

I’m very glad they show off their old cars off though, It’s nice that they still take them out instead of hiding them away in warehouses or some rich guys garage.

Yeah the standards are changing in 2012. Now all formula 1 has to run a 1.6L engine and the rev limit is 12k which is week. The civic i race at the track is a B16 that revs to 11k ha ha. i think they will be allowing them to go back to turbo charging. They do this so the large companies dont always win. now smaller companies will be able to build these engine with out having to spend millions of dollars in engine development like Ferrari and Renault spend.

So the rev limit rule actually passed? I read that Bernie Eccelstone was going to sue if the rule was passed since it would change the characteristic F1 engine noise.

I never said they would have to beat up any car but for a cutting edge motorsport and promoteing in a new country i would like to see the current model, never stated it had to be this years exact race car. Any way they is no one single car as each have a limited number of chasis and engines so never ever the same car.

But im sure they could take something other than a 3 year old car, evan last years model would be better than that car which never did anything.

Oh I totally agree with you. I really wish they’d bring the RB6 here as well!! My other assumption is that by limiting the new vehicles exposure they can keep things more secret. I bought the Haynes Manual for the RB5 and they mention that a few times.

Nonetheless I can’t wait for F1 in the states! Everyone will have to bring the newest cars for sure.

They aint turbo charging or going to 1.5 only things that getting changed are noses and exhausts where have you read this silly roumour
