quickest project ever lol

had a part deliverd 10 am this morning and i had it overlayed, sprayed and fitted by 5pm,laquers not even dry yet lol  its not very good but i just wanted to see what it would look like before i go to the effort of making a set of molds for infusing covers.i used poly resin where i normally use epoxy for overlays.

looks nice~ I don’t think I could have done it in a day

I think it looks quite good. I had this crazyidea that poly resin made pieces yellowish and not so clear…maybe u used clear poly resin?

almost all resins has a color to them, My infusing resin is a brown a color. But you put it on so thin that you can’t tell the color

atic id heard the same thing too, about polyester resin being no good for like… carbon hoods and stuff coz they eventually turn yellow. but i think that has something to do with sun exposure and the UV rays.

parts looking good.

ive infused the part next to it now and the differenec in clarity is amazing, even with slightky old and yellow west epoxy the infused part looks 1000% better, the only good thing to the overlay is that it doesnt squash the weave like infusion does.
