Quick Lock Seals

Hi, I am interested to buy some like this for fast seals:

https://www.acpsales.com/Quick-Lock-Seals.html

I like know your opinion about this tipe of product, and know as it’s his performance, also I would know where I could get some like this in europe, because I haven’t get to find any like this.

Maybe could have been called with other names?

Thanks

I have a set, but have only used them once or twice.

On flat molds they would work great I suppose, but the bag begins to wrinkle when the mold gets taller, which makes getting them to seal nice and flat pretty tough. Once the bag starts to wrinkle it is difficult to get the channels to lock together.

As far as vacuum integrity, I can’t say. I only pulled around 14 inHg when I was testing and didn’t drop test. My sore fingers helped me realize I like tacky tape more for my current mold (small but deep with alot of contours).

I’ll give them another shot on a outdated mold if I have time today and let you know about the drop test.

I’ve only used quick lock seals for a few years now. Just make sure your bags are extra large so they can wrinkle as much as they want and the seals will stay fairly straight.

I also used them, make sure you do what DannyHockin says ^ and be prepared to exersise your fingers- sometimes -depending the thickness of the bag you have to really push it. Also after a while the inner tube (white) begins to brake in pieces. In conclusion it’s nice to have a set especially when using tube bagging.

And where can we buy it in Europe?

Hi, thanks for replies, one possible aplication for this, is to seal bags to shape sheet of pvc.
You need take hot sheet out of oven, put on mold and apply vacuum, you can’t delay too much, because sheet would cool. I don’t need a bag too hermetic, I wouldn’t maintain it too long.
However I don’t know where could buy it in europe.

Maybe, Could I to find it in others places, not especialized about composites?
It could be used in other industrial areas.

Thanks.

I would look into companies making plastic profiles.

Didn’t find them in Europe so I bought them from ACP directly.
