I just read an article saying you can you hair spray as a substitute for PVA. Both are water soluble and both make the same type of coating. Anyone ever heard this or do it?
And somwhere I read that you can use hairspray as alternative for spray adhesive.
Believe me, PVA ist good for release, Spray adhesive for bonding and hairspray for the hair:nuts:
Hairspray is more expesive than PVA, so there is no sense to do it.
I tested the hairspray as alternative to spray adhesive and it worled like a release agent. So I am sure you can betteruse it as release than Spray adhesive.
I suppose it is possible that after applying hairspray, overspray may wash out of your hair a little easier. But I would think that a hat would be a better release agent than hairspray!!! 
the only advantage i can see if hairspray works as a release is that its in a can already
i dont think you can get aerosol pva ? now thats a good idea eh ?

If only there were a sort of refillable spray canister that used disposable pressure packs to spray like an aerosol can…
I sometimes use this ones. Also for brake cleaner.

I’m ordering some PVA but everything I use is a week out. Figured If I needed it in a pinch it would work.

Yeh you can spray pva through anything.
yea, can go thru an airbrush , spray a light coat first and allow to go tacky , then a few light coats after
you cant spray one coat as it will bubble and run
Yeh and don’t try to spray any of the coats too heavy, it will trap air bubbles which will destroy your mould surface. Better to spray lots of light coats rather than heavy ones.
