Nice job. Was this bagged or infused? What is your release of choice?
It was infused. I just use tr mold release works for me 5 or 6 aplications
Did you use the MTI hose for the infusion? I thought you got a sample.
The TR wax seems to be a popular choice for many pros. Every boat factory I’ve been in uses it for their molds. Have you tried other waxs and not like them?
NICE!! i’m doing something similar at the moment, pop up headlight covers.
where do you get your tooling epoxy? and what clear coat do you use?
Its not tooling epoxy and belive it or not im using a west systems, yer i got a sample but iv been making production molds since i got it, this was infused before hand
Sikkens superior clear wont get any better any where in the world uk or usa
As for waxes i used meguires and the tr. Both work for me so why change lol
How are you making your moulds? What products and where from? I’ll have to try aerosol clear coat as I don’t have the equipment to use the sikkens, unless it will go through an airbrush?
I’m using tooling epoxy from easy composites.
Im using vynal ester from a local fibreglass supplies
You can shoot a medium solids clear with urethane reducer through an airbrush.
