Can I use CF prepreg combined with wet fiberglass, then vaccun bagged and cured?
With CF Pre-preg you need to oven cure it as the epoxy resin and hardener is already mixed in the CF and is frozen until you lay it up, bag it and post cure it in an oven.
Are you thinking of getting uncured CF Pre-Preg scraps and making use of it in an overlay process? I’m thinking of playing along those lines too (lic. plate frames) in the classroom for the students so we take what little CF Pre-preg we have and end up with little or no waste. I even ask them to take the Pre-Preg scraps to make book marks too…LOL!
