PrePreg carbon fiber.....

Boy, don’t use room temp vacuum bagging in a oven cured prepreg operation!

I finally got our new RVBS from Bondline and made a clipboard size test panel with the Cerritos college donated PrePreg carbon fiber. Except I grabbed the vacuum bagging on our “roll a about” rack, instead of our Richmond donated roll stock as I have not yet finished the added rack stands for them.

It came out great except the bagging must be used for room temp only as it bonded to the perpreg so good that I can’t even sand the bagging off with 80 grit sand paper! Oh well, it will make a great wall hanging of what not to do…

been there done that.
I had a fellow employee try to tell our boss that we could use the regular bag material, since that is all they used where he used to work. We did it at his word even though I said no way. It was as you say a par of the new composite part. he didn’t work there after that but At least the bass had a new respect for what I said.

That was a past life!
