Post-cure and seal/release at the same time

I want to know if it’s possible to post-cure a new mould, and seal/release it at the same time (taking it out of the oven for a couple of minutes to do so). Just to see if I can chop a couple of hours off the process.

Anything is possible. How long did it take to build the plug? How long did it take to build the mold? Post curing should be done in a controlled manner. Popping the mold out for a few minutes kinda defeats the concept.

I am of the opinion that the seal and release coats are the most important part of building a new mold. If they aren’t right, you have just ruined a lot of work. Why chance it with a questionable process to save a few minutes?

Shortcuts are often the long way around.

Been told NOT to put sealer/release onto any mould that is warm as the volatiles evaporate off too fast and my not get into the surface of the mould fully. So I would guess a hot mould would be too risky and you may get parts sticking in the mould.
