Porsche 996Turbo Stainless steel/ carbon fiber exhaust

Complete exhaust is hand made from stainless steel including with carbon-fiber tailpipes made with hand lay-up technique & heat resistant epoxy resin cured in owen.
On the inner side carbon-fiber “sleeve” there is also aluminum temeperature isolation which prevent heating CF and at the back side where CF sleeve is attached there are also holes for coolling the space between inner tube and CF sleeve during ride… I run this exhaust almost 2 years with no color or structural changes on carbon fiber.

Looks like professional job here, I was wonder how you trimmed CF on this pipe without scratching it?

This red “Porshe” is sticker ?

great work Sladic…Slovenia + exhaust + carbon…akrapovic?

Yes I know that people all arround the world don’t have any idea where Slovenia is on planet earth, untill talking about exhaust sistems and Akrapovic.:D:D
But no I don’t work at Akrapovic, I’m just hobby home builder

I’m from Treviso, not so far from you
compliments for your works

This is an excellent example of how to use carbon fiber with an exhaust system.

So many people come on the forum with very little knowledge of how to create well engineered exhaust pieces. Kudos

Wow very nice :).

nice work!

Sorry, but I totally missed your post.
This CF sleeve is trimmed before attaching it on pipe and it was trimmed from the inner side. This CF sleeve isn’t just staight tube. There is rounded edge at the end so it’s like doubled tube with 3mm gap in between if you understand what I mean. So when the CF sleeve was already coated I started trimming it aprox. 30 mm inside from the edge so I couldn’t scratch it on the outside.
