poor quality kit

i bought a set of carbon door pillar stickers simply because it was easier than going through all the effort of making 1 set myself, got them today and they are absolute crap! the finish is exactly the same as what you get when you apply your first layer of resin on an overlay, really really poor, looks like they need another4 coats of resin.how do people get away with selling this crap?!
best part was the price,$50 and then $70!! int shipping for 2 stickers that weigh maybe an ounce! i had a friend in the states ship them for me for $8…rant over.

Ouch!! Pour some self leveling vinyl over them and call it a day.

If you are in the UK then why not just buy a small sheet of ready made carbon from Ebay (comes with glued back), and just cut your parts out of that?

Finally there would be no reason whatsover to complain about the finish on your parts, if it was on anything other than a purely cosmetic item.

soory i dont understand? these are 100% a cosmetic item only these will actually make the car look worse!

Thats the type of finish you will often get on very expensive carbon parts for competition cars and bikes. But maybe not good on something intended purely for show.

prepreg u mean.

or anything that doesn’t need, or want extra layers of resin.

or wet layup, or VARTM, or anything else that is not on the mold side.
yeah, those pieces are strips of carbon, brushed with epoxy…not meant for cosmetic purpose!
can you sue?

ps: they get away with it like the smegheads that sell carbon fiber stuff, when all it is, is a vinyl sticker!
