Polymorph Termoplastic for modeling

Hi, polymorph is a termoplastic that melts at 62 ° c, it is reusable and not seems have any contraction. I think that I could be very easy and fast for make small molds or patterns.

Does anyone have any experience using this material?

Could it stick on the epoxy/polyester resin?

Regards and thanks

Yes, I have tested it. It does stick to epoxy, but if you use a release agent, it won´t. You could use it as a negative mold, plug, flange material, pressure intensifiers for bagging etc. We have just did a simple test though and didn´t use it any further due to the low TG.
Cool material though!
What do you have in mind?

I didn’t know it before your post…but it looks great, I have just buy it on ebay…at a price lower than the site of the video

Like I said I think it could be excellent for small parts, for example, copying metal parts , you melted, applies it over the patron, waxing, gets a bit of prepreg, bagging and you could have a piece finish in less than an hour! (without cured time)

What kind of release agent used?
How many times could be reused? Because it is biodegradable …
When you apply it (heat) on other materials, metals, other plastic, even cold polymorph also. Does that stick?

A greeting and thanks for your reply!

Yes, on ebay is pretty cheap, if I had known earlier I wouldn’t have bought so much clay …

I’m assuming you can remelt the product over and over? really neat!

Release agent was Würtz PAT 607. I cannot say how many times you can reuse it.
We put it on top of some metal part, and it was self releasing.
Your idea with the prepreg, I doubt it will work, the Tg is just 62°C, quite low.

ok, thanks, but when I told prepregs, I was saying about prepregs done manually with ambient temperture curing resins , after demolding I apply postcuring at 80 ° C.
