Plywood Foam Panels

I want to make a panel, approximately 5’ x 5’ by bonding 1/2" styrofoam with 1/8" plywood both sides using epoxy. Should the epoxy be thickened? If so how much? I have some concerns about getting an even layer of thickened epoxy over that large of an area.

Well, you have to use Epoxy resin for the PS foam, but why not save money and use upolsery (?) spray adhesive instead on both sides and apply them together? A local upolsery (?) shop would probally spray it for a 6 pack…

Yup…unless your application will be developing significant shearing load parallel to the faces of the panel, there isn’t any particular need for an epoxy resin…something like Gorilla Glue or TiteBond would probably do the job every bit as well, for a fraction of the cost.
