The carbon parts I make I clear them with a automotive clear (2k) that comes in a can. Often i get little pinholes that are very fustrating. Im thinking i might not be cleaning the surface properly. I have been using a “wax and grease” remover from a local auto store. Any suggestions?
Pinholes are in your carbon not in your clear. When you want them gone it’s paint, sand, paint, sand, paint, sand, ect. Or fill them with resin and sand it.
Can be silicone. Try silicone remover.
Could there be pinholes I cannot see? Thanks DD, i will try that.
How have you been applying the wax and grease remover? Do you wipe it off before it dries?
pinholes without a clear on them can definitely be invisible to the naked eye (even for those with good eyesight and proper lighting) but then really stand out once the part is sprayed with a clear.
