Wonder if anyone has tried using pigmented Duratec clear, rather than ge-coat? Thinking of using this to make a moulding that will be laminated using CSM and vinyl ester resin. Thought it may be a bit thin though, and mean some possibilty of print through?
Transparent or solid color pigment base?
I’ve never tried tinting the duratec clear, but would hazard a guess its possible if done lightly.
You’d probly have to spray in two goes to get a darker (opaque) gelcoat.
Looking for solid colour…just wondered if anyone had tried this, as it seems a useful process if it works.
