"Pics" of my CF bike. Needs TLC.

Hello. I am new to this forum thanks to GGROP. But I’ve been a long time member of Fibreglast.com

Here are pics of my bike. As you can see it needs some rejuvenation.
This is the dilemma. I want to put a thin carbon overlay on this worn but still very functional bicycle frame. It was made with thermoplastic Prepreg CF/Epoxy material.

Now here is the question: How can I best accomplish a good mechanical bond between the cured carbon and a new overlaid piece of CF?

Now the condition of the CF piece is as follows:
As you can see the carbon is pitted, scratched, not to mention my sanding job.

Could you also tell me if what I am trying to accomplish is imposible or if what Doogie48084 described below is more practical.

i would spray it with a clear kote, should come up very well indeed

I’m finding out that Krylon Crystal Clear rattle can spray paint sure works great for that use!

Thanks. I think I will do the clear thing. After carful consideration I am going to not go ahead with the CF overlay since it mite detach from the frame.

if you want to know what your part will look like after you clear coat it, wet it down with water or alcohol and look at it all over. it should look just like your clear coated part after it is sprayed.

I wet it out with water. It looks great. Thanks for the tip.
