I managed to fix the URL redirection issue without having to deactivate the old URLS so I’ll leave them be. Other reasons include being forced to keep the sub URL due to Hostmonster policies as well as the confusion of switching urls.
With all the issues fixed I can leave them be so feel free to use whichever one you like best.
