I just bought a PERMAXIMUS Vakuum-System-Controller VSC-01 off ebay but it didn’t come with a users manual. The maker seems to have disappeared. Does anyone know where I can get one?

Since no one has responded let me ask differently. Has anyone ever heard of /used this unit?
Google only turns up the 2005 and 2006 catalog from R&G in Germany. I asked there if I could buy a copy but they won’t even answer.

Nevermind, found it. For what I read of it, you will need the software to control the thing. Let’s hope you can source the software, and that it is written as such that it is easy to understand. Or hope the guy from Stuttgart will find his manual.
This morning I got a call from a rep from R&G. She has a unit (defective)and she knows of one other unit. It was designed by a Swedish company, which no longer exists. You can set it up via the front panel but it is very slow going since the response time of the buttons is about 2 seconds per push (40 pushes to go from 40% to 80% vacuum). It also looses it’s memory when power is turned off. Effectively, then you are right. you need to program from a computer.
Right now it’s carnival season in Germany so I won’t get any answer from R&G until Wed. next week. If I’m lucky, she will be able to find a copy of the software or at least tell me what the communications protocol looks like. A bit of C++ shouldn’t be a problem. If not I guess I’m out of luck.
