Had areal hard time removing flow mesh and peel ply off a job on the weekend. Do you think this would be ok between the peel ply and the mesh. worried the resin may not go through the perforated film during infusion ?

Hi, yes this is possible and worked well for me.

It was close to impossible to remove the bloody mesh from the peel ply, so i used perforated release film. Works a charm! Infusion was a little slower, but nothing to worry about. On a big part, maybe use film with more holes per sqm. Cheers

That one is perfect for infusion.

A teflon coated peel ply was recommended by an experienced infusion guy and it has been fantastic. No sticking at all. I got it at Aircraft spruce, a brownish product. The red flow mesh on top all comes off together.

Just be aware that the teflon coated products can leave contamination which can effect secondary bonding

Thanks for the replies fellas.

how did the finish look with the infused perf layup?

I’m going to try a section of Kevlar on fiberglass soon with pref
