Has anybody had experience with “The Perfect Line Tape” from FiberGlast:
I’ve used scotch tape and masking tape, which are way too sticky. Are there other suppliers of something suitable/comparable that’s not $0.27 per yard.

Thats one way to spend $15 dollars. Do yourself a favor and buy yourself lunch instaed :). If you want to cut straight lines in a woven fabric, just pull a yarn out and cut along that line. If masking tape works fine, then let it keep working fine :).
I’d advise you to not buy from Fiberglast. There are dozens of more companies out there equally reputable with the same products for less.
I do pull a couple of weaves when I cut, but I need something that keeps the fibers fully intact in certain areas, where an overlapped corner is on the exposed layer.
Someone suggested somewhere to spray fabric adhesive on wax paper, and peel it off at the last minute. I’m trying to wean myself off spray adhesive, but maybe this is a reasonable exception??
I always spray Super77 when I need to make a clean cut. It works very well. I don’t spray it directly on the roll. I’ll spray it when I need to make smaller cuts off of a piece of fabric on the table. It works very well.
John; I’ll give that a try. Thanks.
light spray adhesive 77 + 120 glass, or very light surface veil
Try an art supply or craft store and ask about 50% Stick Masking Tape. Used in Art and such but has half the adhesive.
