Peel ply for VIP

I have only been able to use nylon peel ply from fibreglast http://www.fibreglast.com/product/Nylon_Release_Peel_Ply_582/ and I am sure it is as overpriced as their fabrics. What is your preferred peel ply for infusion of sheets. I have seen nfgsales.com from another poster on here, but I have no idea which peel ply on their I would want to ask a quote for. And would I even want to use nylon or maybe polyester? http://www.nfgsales.com/partners/precision_fabrics_group/peel_plies

Not sure what we use…it’s greenish. It works. I think we get from NFGSales or Airtech. Maybe see if you can get a sample set from them? There are quite a bit :-/

I recommend Northern Fiberglass, www.nfgsales.com. They are very good, carry Richmond aircraft products.

You can also use Nylon jacket lining as it is essentially the same thing. This can be picked up at any fabric shop.

Nylon jacket lining won’t bond to the epoxy?

I haven’t used it myself (we use Airtech econostich aka red stripe) but our resin manufacturer recommends using it as it has no release agent so won’t affect post bonding.

Moke is their anything special I need to look for when I get this? I am going to the local fabric/craft stores tomorrow to see what variety is available. Thanks for the tip.

Like I said I haven’t used it myself so can’t say for sure plus given that I’m on the other side of the world any brand here might not exist there.

But I’d start by taking a sample of what you have been using and talk to the staff there to see if they can point you to something that is the same weight and feel. Plus if you chat them up a bit you could get a small sample of both nylon and polyester and try a small test sample to see how they work out.

Plus I reckon a nice floral print could reduce pin holes by increasing the positive vibes. Leopard prints would have a negative effect.

holy
crap
we must use this material!!!

Maybe a nice tie dye pattern would help reduce pin holes better a nice hippy happy vibe! lol

That would only work if you are female as we all know that hippies don’t work for the man.
