past two weeks projects

For those of you who don’t know Ihave my hands in a lot of different sectors of fabrication. I do metal and composite fabbing. I get into a lot of vehicle stuff and amusment park/arcade stuff. My favorites are the choppers, car audio, and prototype body work. I have been on the board a while not really posting but I figure people need some answers to things that i feel i can contribute to. the above pics are the last two weeks of projects. Excluding minor things like cai and fender prototyping and molding kits onto the cars.

uh huh, and that big metal thing is a jig for???

looks like a motorcycle frame jig to me

905 you are right…it is to build custom frames from any rake and stretch. One of my soon to come to life projects is to create my gas and oild tanks for the chopper out of composites. I already have done a few racing setups for rice rockets but never a chopper. It is no that different but something just to say yea i build the prototype and then made the part over and lighter.

you have the same idea as me…I haven’t built my frame jig yet but I’ve got the blueprints and I’m picking up my new TIG this weekend. Got any pics of finished frames/bikes?

actually i am putting together a book for the dyi section of delmar…I will post pics of the frame i am doing for it. its a 4 up 4 out 45deg rake single downtube drop seat utilizing a gsxr 1000 drivetrain and jackshaft, and a 280 rear tire. A moving looker not made to do the switchbacks, but isn’t that the point of a chopper is to look good. If you get blueprints get them from ric at bcc orlando.

cool, i guess we’ll have to wait and see, do you have a realistic ETA for the chopper project?

I’m planning on a 3 out drop seat 40 deg. rake possibly with more rake int he trees and a 230 tire…kinda like a Paul Yaffe or prostreet style but with a rigid frame. Haven’t decided on motor yet maybe just an Evo…don’t need anything too crazy.
