I’ve never fabricated anything wider than the normal width of carbon fabric. How is it done? Can you get wider width carbon?

you can get 60" wide in the states and if you look overseas I have seen them as wide as 100"

I also carry 60" cloth. BTW, I just got the soft texalium in last week. This stuff is bitching. I also got some plain weave carbon with thin threads of chrome, red and blue. At night the color will reflect when you put light up against it. This stuff costs too much though so I’m not sure if I am going to be selling them :frowning:

I’ll take some pictures tomorrow when I come back to the shop.

No but I wouldn’t make anything besides hood or something flat with it.

Have you got any web sites for c/f over 60 ins as i am in the UK and having problem finding c/f and kevlar over 36 ins wide.

Evan, have you got any that plain weave carbon with thin threads of red and blue for sale.

Brilliant site have got a lots of info from here. I have been in the poly. for about 20 + years making boats of all sizes now trying the c/f and kevlar parts for cars and bikes. Kept up the good work.

Sorry I don’t have any pricing info on that particular cloth right now. It’s too pricey so I am not sure if it’s worth stocking such items.

GEE ive lost my catolog (will have to find it) but im pretty sure CFS in cornwall stock c/f wider than 36inchs. If you want pm me and i can give you there postal address. They also give you a free catolog (wow :lol: ) with there stuff in and other useful things. (basic guides etc).

Well chuffed theres another brit on here thought i was the only one (going to start another thread see if theres anymore of us)
