I see people bonding their panels directly to bare metal. I understand it will create the best bond this way. but as shown in the pic the sealant barely covers the bare metal. Surely it’s going to corrode, would it not be better to have a smaller bare section which is going to get covered in sealant or wouldn’t a scratched up epoxy paint be adequate? Am I missing something here?
