Paint blocks your WI FI ?

A pretty narrow-minded approach. Consider this…

1)With the new Wireless-N protocol, which stronger yet than the previous incarnation…because even if a signal can be damped by paint, there are plenty of windows and doors that are as permeable as paper.

2)What about when you wanna sit in the back yard and use your network?

3)So you’ve just created a RF-free envelope around your house. How much are you paying every month for your cell that’s now useless when you’re at home?

4)The only way this paint would work is by it having a sky-high metal content, which is an environmental nightmare in the making, and if it’s applied thicker than sin…sounds like a cash grab to me!

I don’t think it’s that bad of an enviromental risk. There are tons of things in a house already that use RF shielding paint on the case. Mostly for FCC Part 15 rules, etc. They prob’ just figured how to put it in a household style paint.
I think it’s for the crazy paranoids anyway. You won’t get any broadcast or cell/psc signals, even with a window.
I think it’s crazy, but not impossible. Just stick to passwords and you are fine!

or point a shotgun out your window at peeps snagging your signal.
